The HP US Commercial Business Personal Systems (BPS) team is looking for an experienced content marketing strategist to develop, lead and implement content strategies in support of our campaign journeys.

The Content Marketing Strategist is responsible for helping map the content to our user journeys and for delivering the content needed to execute a hyper-personalized experience across the buyer’s journey with a primary focus on demand generation activities. This role goes beyond content development and include helping define a cost-effective personalized content development process that leverages and repurposes content in the most efficient manner.

This individual will partner with campaign managers, WW content team, product managers, internal business stakeholders and digital marketing teams to define content requirements and deliverables (content audits of repositories, websites and social media accounts, gap analyses, taxonomies, metadata frameworks, etc.)  that support the campaign journey goals.

The Content Strategist will be responsible for the creation and monitoring of the editorial calendar for the campaigns and will need to interact with the digital platforms to optimize the content running in-market to achieve best engagement and sales performance.

Responsibilities, Experience and Skills:

  • In conjunction with campaign and marketing specialists and working closely with the global content leads to define content strategy for each campaign that ultimately helps bolster sales pipeline
  • Role is responsible for piloting, split testing and optimizing content, layouts, styles, content strategies and implementing identified best practice from tests for select segments and verticals in support of US Commercial campaigns. 
  • Defining content is critical but defining the best way to optimize and repurpose content to support digital content optimization is critical for the success of this role. Role will also establish a workflow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, re-purposing and retiring content, including management of our freelancer network.
  • By using a data-driven approach, the Content Strategist incorporates metrics and track progress using qualitative and quantitative data on content, by measuring engagement, leads, sales, conversions, and customer advocacy, etc.
  • Working in conjunction with the Web teams, continuously looking for ways to improve website, content and digital properties based on personas, customer insights and journey mapping in support of US Commercial Campaigns.
  • Creativity and Storytelling are critical as the primary function is to ensure engaging material for target customers.  Must also manage security and privacy protocols.
  • Great communication skills and highly collaborative to work with agencies and across departments with both senior level and campaign level stakeholders.
  • Technical understanding of search engine optimization, Photoshop, Google Analytics in order to better work with the website data they are analyzing.
  • Work closely with the comms team and the social team to ensure content is contextual relevant and meeting ‘moments of need’ for the customer.
  • Database segmentation, marketing automation (Eloqua/Marketo) and content management platform (Percolate) experience is a strong plus.
  • SEO Keyword Research
  • Represent the US Commercial Marketing team as its content ambassador.

Experience:

  • Ideally 5+ years’ experience in digital content management role @ agency or client.
  • 3+ years’ experience managing content strategies for B2B enterprise technology companies
  • Good understanding of content marketing, demand generation, search engine optimization and customer lifecycle marketing.
  • Experience with content marketing systems/platforms, digital asset management, databases, and SEO best practices
  • Experience managing content creators and external agencies.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills, with the ability to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders and quickly execute high quality work.
  • Excellent fluency in spoken and written English. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or similar required. MBA degree is a plus.
