HP Inc. is seeking to recruit a senior Government Relations (GR) professional for China, based in Beijing. Reporting to the Head of Government Relations Greater China, the person will represent the interests of HP Inc. before the Chinese central government, local governments, industry associations and other relevant stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop positions and influence strategy to protect our business models, enable market access, support supply chain operations and resiliency, navigate geopolitical disruptions, and advocate for environmental product regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze legislation and policy, consult with China Leadership teams, Global Strategy Program, Global Trade, Supply Chain and the business to determine HP’s position.
  • Work closely with business leaders in China and global to support business priorities.
  • Build and grow the network of key relationships in China.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a government relations or public affairs role.
  • Experience leading the development and implementation of government relations strategies for government organizations, industry associations and/or companies.
  • Deep knowledge of trade, technology and economic policy making and legislative processes at the central and provincial levels.
  • Experience working in a matrixed business environment, providing advice and counsel to senior management and presenting to senior level boards and committees.
  • Track record in successful relationship building, and a willingness to dedicate time and effort to broadening and deepening those networks.
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills and a proven track record of producing high quality content and materials. Experience in executive communications.
  • Fluency in Chinese and English.
