PageWide Press (PWP) is leading the way in the high volume, roll-fed, production inkjet print market. These high-speed, high quality machines, which can be as big as a bus, are creating new opportunities for digital color print in products ranging from books and statements to corrugated boxes. PWP helps its customers to dramatically reduce waste, grow their businesses, and improve profitability. The Strategic Planner serves as an advisor to senior leaders to influence business planning and the strategic direction of the business, including overall organizational practices, long-term goals, and operating models. This role works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. The strategic planning manager evaluates markets, partnerships, and business models to assesses and guide the business on future opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Completes strategic analyses that drive mid- and long-term business growth
  • Identifies research, tools, and analyses required to achieve objectives for multiple projects
  • Manages the development of financial and statistical models, structures analytical approaches, and oversees the data-gathering process
  • Selects key information and conclusions to develop a comprehensive set of recommendations for optimizing business and financial performance
  • Defines and communicates market size for PWP segments and reports market share
  • Assists finance and marketing on the long-term planning (LTP) process
  • Creates effective teamwork through facilitation of Staff meetings and extended staff meetings
  • Develops clear, succinct and compelling content for executive-level presentations
  • Creates organizational communications ensuring clear and powerful messaging
  • Drives the Staff's annual priority setting process, works across the staff members to define objective performance metrics for each priority, establishes a quarterly calendar of initiative reporting and facilitates periodic progress and status reviews
  • Participates with cross-functional teams and management to identify and improve overall organizational effectiveness
  • Completes special projects including, but are not limited to:
    • Market analyses
    • Business model analyses
    • Initial program lead for investigations

Education and Experience Required:

  • College degree in Marketing/Business/Technical. MBA preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in a diverse range of business functions in a high-tech environment
  • Relevant experience, including program management, staff Operations, business planning

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven capabilities to develop and execute strategies and plans
  • Strategic thinker with a mindset of innovation and an intellectual curiosity
  • Exhibits business and financial acumen to develop meaningful business recommendations
  • Ability to accurately manage details and see the big picture
  • Strong financial modelling skills
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent influencing, consensus-building and conflict-resolution skills
  • High proficiency in using presentation tools and developing clear, succinct and compelling content for executive-level presentations and communications
  • Proven track record of cross-functional project/program leadership
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in working across geographies and cultures
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in process improvements and driving change
  • Knowledge of commercial and packaging production markets desired
