We are looking for a Software Developer to join our R&D team in Cambridge, UK. Our engineers work on an endpoint software security product which is based on micro-virtualization: https://threatresearch.ext.hp.com/blog.
You will be working on solving some challenging problems in letting our customers get the most out of our nifty yet secure micro-virtual machines (micro-VMs). You will be working in a small team which is responsible for ensuring that complex Windows applications run seamlessly inside these micro-VMs. You will often be required to put your security hat on while designing a new feature or carrying out code reviews.
The successful candidate will be smart, have a willingness to learn and solid experience coding in C or C++. This role is ideal for a developer looking to take the next step in their career or for a recent grad eager to get stuck into our challenging Systems software problems.
Ideally the candidate will work from our Cambridge office but we’d also welcome applications from candidates who wish to work remotely and can visit Cambridge as/when required.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain core product features
Improve security and performance of the product
Write unit tests and automated tests
Job Requirements:
Programming experience in C or C++
Experience with development on the Windows platform
Knowledge of core Operating System fundamentals
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent
The following skills and attributes are a plus:
Familiarity with Windows internals
Low-level programming
Reverse engineering
Exposure to cybersecurity and endpoint security solutions
