Position background
In the GTM analytics COE our mission is to deliver impact by building machine learning products to optimize pricing and marketing investments and provide guidance to our sales organization.
The software development team is developing the delivery products and tools that encapsulate the algorithms. These tools can come in the form of auto bidding algorithms (managing marketing investments in online platforms such as Amazon, Google, Bestbuy… etc) or that of building web-based workflow environment to help the organization plan how to distribute its marketing budget more effectively.
Tools and products and developed in could based environment on latest technologies and working with the leading platforms (Google, Facebook, Amazon … etc)
What you will do
Build a team of ~10 with a strong culture of delivery; tenacious and accountable for resultsInspire and motivate cross-functional teams to be highly effective both in terms of impact and team culture
Act as a trusted mentor and advisor to others within our broader technology organization to ensure the scaling of best practices and use of repeatable patterns
Be the person recognized by senior management as a person that needs to be in the room when technical decisions are made
Build web-based platform to help manage HP’s marketing investments across its distribution partners
Develop platform that would enable algorithmic management of the marketing funds moving them dynamically to where the best returns are
What you will need:
Bachelor’s in computer engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field
Proven track record of success leading engineering teams working with Data Science
Prior experience as a technical leader for software engineering teams
Theoretical and applied skills in Machine Learning
Good leadership and mentoring skills
Experience with cloud infrastructure
Experience with modern application lifecycle management tools (Git, Visual Studio, Intellij, Code Reviews) .
Experience with automated builds, tests and deployment of libraries on a compute cluster.
Experience with devops with technologies such as docker, AWS, Azure etcUnderstanding of Microservice architectures (Kubernetes, Openshift).
Web development UI Framework (z. B. Angular, Spring MVC/UI, React, Node.js)
Experience in deploying ML solutions on backend server Web-Services (Spring, REST etc.);
Data management (SQL, Spring data, JPA etc.)
Experience with deploying and running world-scale, AWS-based data solutions and familiar with tools such as Cloud Formation, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Athena and Redshift
Strong UI/UX skills and understanding of usability conceptsLanguages: Python, Go, Java
