In the R&D Process Algorithms group, we develop image-based algorithms to calibrate and control various knobs within the unique and fascinating printing process of HP Indigo presses. The algorithms development process involves multiple disciplines – including image processing, computer vision, deep learning, signal processing, statistical learning, process physics, sensor physics, and software engineering. As Software Professional Lead you will play a key role in our software engineering team, working closely with the algorithms development team to implement calibration and control algorithms, as well as collaborating with other SW teams and other process research groups to design the interfaces and architecture of various components that are related to process algorithms.

Your responsibilities:

  • Leading, planning, designing, and implementing algorithm production-level code for the variety of calibrations, controls and applications that are developed in the group.
  • Responsible for the development at the application level, the computational algorithm modules, and the image processing modules.
  • Serving as consultant and algorithm software professional authority in solving software development issues.
  • Leading the design and architecture of new products.
  • Serve as a focal for other software groups for interfaces, design, and architecture discussions.

Required skills, experience, and education:

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science\SW Engineering or a related degree - Must
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience of production-level software development– preferably in computational applications - Must
  • Experience with C# .Net, C++, and multi-threading
  • Strong mathematical skills – emphasis on linear algebra, numerical analysis, and statistics.
  • Understanding of developing patterns, working in components, and clean coding.
  • Team player with true passion, creativity, and motivation for computational problems and algorithms.

Experience with CUDA, image processing, computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning – advantage.
