We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about working as part of a team to qualify new leads and build relationships with existing and potential clients within HP’s growing Software and Solutions team.  The opportunity involves working with medium to large enterprises, developing on going customer relationships and driving all aspects of HP’s solution and software portfolio into the customer environment.  This is a strategic and growing segment of HP’s business with a strong contractual focus to expand and solidify long term relationships and creates strong differentiation within competitive accounts and growth within the existing install base.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive contractual customer relationships through advancement of the HP and partner software and solution portfolio
  • Proactively sells software solutions to existing clients and through "cold calling" in support of company promotion and upgrade campaigns.
  • Manages new market penetration campaigns through identification of emerging market trends and opportunities.
  • Interfaces with highly diverse set of functions and buyers at all levels within customer organization - including highest levels of Executive.
  • Partner with Sales Team to develop and execute account through the management and coordination of sales activities.
  • Responsible for pipeline and forecast in accordance with sales center business process.
  • Analyzes client industry and competitive research and information to facilitate rich client dialogue.
  • Orchestrates the resources and sponsorship essential for executing business effectively. ' Drives integrated planning and coordinated sales execution.
  • Engages with partners effectively to improve win rates on solution opportunities.
  • Nurtures and closes new opportunities that result in substantial incremental orders, revenue and margins to HP, representing the entire HP portfolio of products and services.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Four year university/ Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in consultative sales
  • Technical ability to develop a total sales engagement.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and with cross-functional teams as required
  • Demonstrates strong presentation and communication skills at the business manager level.
  • Solid knowledge of HP's breadth of solutions

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Exhibits knowledge of HP Global processes and how to manage business across regions.
  • Demonstrates ability to mentor peers.
  • Exhibits thorough knowledge of HP portfolio, observed via customer interaction, test scores, and limited reliance on SAs, pre- sales, or internal resources to discuss products or solutions with our customers.
  • Consistently demonstrates proactive activities within accounts to uncover new business and take ownership for new opportunities.
  • Demonstrates performance with increased year-over- year attach rates.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Solid customer negotiation skills.
