This position will be part of the Supply Chain team, primarily responsible for the Purchasing activities in Singapore Ink Operations based in Tuas supporting R&D activities, Proto Ink Line activities, and Supplier management activities. He/she will be focusing on the strategic and tactical purchasing for the SIO. This role will be responsible for the end to end Purchasing activities for SIO inks including the Operational purchasing as well as the strategic activity such as the Supplier management and cost reduction programs. Close collaborations are required with the HP partners across Israel, Puerto Rico, US and the internal stake holders in SIO to support the transfer activities to Singapore and subsequently the on-going operations post MR.
What a Procurement Operations Manager does at HP:
In partnership with HP cross-functional teams, candidate will focus on the below to support transfer;
- Establish the Purchasing business models. Leverage existing suppliers for cost reduction opportunities.
- Source and procure the materials and systems to support transfer.
- SAP setup for all materials and suppliers.
Post Manufacturing Release (MR), candidate will be responsible for the on-going Purchasing activities of the Ink Plant in Singapore. It entails the following:
- Assurance of supplies of direct materials and systems for on-going operations.
- Ensure conforming materials availability to lab operations.
- Inventories management within inventories targets.
- Cost reduction and localization initiatives to reduce operating costs.
- Focus on the supplier’s management –risks mitigations, business continuity, cost management and operations strategies, and contractual risk areas.
- Managing suppliers’ relations and performs suppliers’ audits.
- Generate purchasing reports and schedule for management reviews.
- Support programs / projects implementations when needed.
- Enabling SC resilency in risk mitigations for raw materials AOS.
- Conduct Suppliers audits in the busines perspective.
- Market trends analysis.
An individual who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
- Degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration.
- 4-6 years of Supply Chain experience in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP (MM & SD Modules).
- Knowledge of data analytics visualization.
- Strong Supplier managements skills, inventories management and analytical skills.
- Effective communication, strong teamwork and ability to collaborate across functions
