The worldwide PWI Product Marketing Manager is an individual contributor role that reports to the PWI Commercial Global Marketing Manager.
Description
The PageWide portfolio focused product marketing manager drives product planning and on-going product marketing for our current PageWide hardware solutions and supplies within PWI.
He or she will create product and feature roadmaps which often include 3rd party solutions, working with customers, partners, engineering, operations, and solutions to set priorities, define requirements, determine pricing, build messaging and deliver go-to-market product and solution launches, and support sales to meet and exceed forecasts.
This Product Marketing role includes New Product Introduction (NPI) planning, Color Management, Harris & Bruno web coaters, new products through End of Life (EOL) planning.
The vast majority of our PageWide press sales include integrated finishing solutions, and these can be complex. This marketing role requires some technical and financial acumen, which are key to enabling the right solution with the right partner across publishing, high-volume commercial, and personalized communication segments globally. Comparing and positioning why solution A v B is recommended, and messaging how that supports and strengthens our value proposition driving quality, proven productivity, unrivaled versatility and compelling economics for our customers. Delivering competitive product messaging across segments is key to this role, as it economically drives value to the printed page and making it easy for our customers to grow and expand.
Responsibilities
- Product marketing responsibilities for HP's PageWide inkjet web press product portfolio across press hardware and supplies.
- Manage elements of HP's PageWide inkjet product portfolio including roadmaps, defining features and priorities, meeting product life cycle (PLC) requirements, including and defining and modeling the 4 p's of marketing (product, price, place and promotion) and developing value based messaging.
- Build a Product Marketing Plan and deliverables (positioning, messaging, training, sales tools, success stories, competitive analysis, end-of-life planning, launch bulletins) for PWI Products.
- Product Marketing ownership enabling PWI to successfully resale, integrate and support 3rd party finishing solutions, including product positioning, pricing, competitive comparisons, benchmarking, demonstrations, creation of sales tools, and all things that generate awareness and demand for end-to-end solutions.
- Build compelling product messaging across segments (publishing, direct mail, transaction and high-volume commercial).
- Build compelling product launch kits
- Build win-win relationships with category, sales and PageWide customers.
- Support tradeshows, events, open houses, and customer product demos
- Support HP regions and channel partners through step of sale
Required Skills
- College degree in Business / Graphics / Engineering / Marketing, master's degree preferred
- 5 years of experience with 3+ years in product management/product marketing
- Strong process and organizational skills
- Financial acumen for total cost of ownership (TCO) and return on investment (ROI) modeling
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent influencing, consensus-building and conflict-resolution skills
- Negotiation skills, desired
- Familiarity with industrial printing markets, desired
- Technical knowledge of inkjet products, workflow, finishing solutions, desired
- Technical knowledge of color management, media and web coating, desired
